Willie Grubbs Obituary

Our  cherished Willie C. Grubbs, known to everyone that loved him as “C Boy.”   He was born on November 23, 1940, in Shorterville, AL to the late Issac Grubbs and Willie Bell     Peppers Grubbs.  He made his heavenly transition on February 7, 2024.  God blessed him with 83 years on this Earth.

At a young age, he gave his life to Christ and became a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Shorterville, AL, where he found solace and spiritual guidance in the Lord.

“C Boy’s” favorite past times and passions included cooking and hosting for all occasions for family and friends and serving the Lord.  Cooking was his passion and although his family roots were in Shorterville, AL, “C Boy” relocated to Miami, FL to pursue his career as a Chef and for better opportunities.

He was employed at Pumpernickles Bakery in Miami Beach, FL.  After retiring from Pumpernickles Bakery and perfecting his own craft, “C Boy” became an entrepreneur and opened his own establishment, where he sold baked goods.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings, Willie James Grubbs, Earnest Grubbs, Georgia Grubbs Jackson, Curtis Grubbs, John Alex Grubbs, Minnie Grubbs Turnman, and Issac Grubbs, Jr.

“C Boy” leaves behind his memories to his children, Sharon Grubbs Feggins of Athens, AL, Willie Grubbs, Jr., Johnathon Grubbs, and Victoria Grubbs all of Miami, FL, Rickey Grubbs of Meridianville, AL, and Sandra Grubbs of Abbeville, AL;  five sisters, Emma Duncan of Shorterville, AL, Louise  Barnes of Miami, Fl, Viola McKenzie of Shorterville, AL, Lela Lewis of Somerset, NJ, and Virginia  Thompson (Bobby) of Decatur, GA; grandchildren, Erica Peterson of Athens, AL, William Feggins, III (Arielle) of Hazel Green, AL, Josiah Kelly and Domingo Placencio of Miami, FL, and other grandchildren whom he loved; great grandchildren, Cameron and Camden Peterson of Athens, AL, Giahia Feggins of Hazel Green, AL; and other great grandchildren whom he loved; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
