Walter Lee Bryant, Jr.

Mr. Walter Lee Bryant, Jr. affectionately know as “Batman” was born October 24, 1953 in Fort Gaines, GA to the parentage of the late Ruby Dean Thompson and Walter Lee Bryant, Sr.  He departed his life on November 1, 2023 at Pruitt Health-Palmyra in Albany, GA.

He was educated in the Clay County School System.

He joined the United States Army in the early 1970’s and was honorably discharged August 1979.

At an early age he confessed to Christ and became a member of Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church in Fort Gaines, GA. 

“Batman” was a well-known, caring, and loving man in Fort Gaines.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Lee James Thompson.

“Batman” leaves  to cherish his precious memories his two children, Patrick Johnson of San Antonio, TX and Marteenia Johnson of Albany, GA; five granddaughters, Tre’Niyah, Mashari, and Tionna Kennedy of Albany, GA, Zakyia Hardamon of Abbeville, Al, and Kenniya Magwood of Fort Gaines, GA; one brother, Johnny B. Morris (Patricia) of Jacksonville, FL; six nieces, Tameka Howey (Damian) and Jocelyn Peterson of Jacksonville, FL, Leilani, Jessica, Pamela, and Tiffany Thompson of Fort Gaines, GA; four nephews, Lee James Thompson, Jr. of Portsmouth, VA, Antwan Morris of Jacksonville, FL, Tirrell and Damascus Thompson of Kinsey, AL; a loving and caring aunt, Florine Wright of Fort Gaines, GA; 4 cousins, Shelia Mitchell of Athens, GA, Annette Hayden (Mike), Catherine Wright Edwards (Almond) of Poughkeepsie, NY and Douglas Wright of Louisville, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sympathizing friends.
