Mrs. Sallie B. Jackson, was born on October 19, 1937, to Albert and Estella Davis in Fort Gaines, Georgia. She was one of seven children.
Following an extended period of health decline, Sallie peacefully went to rest on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. Her earthly journey ended and her soul was set free at her home around family and beloved daughter in Edison, Georgia.
At an early age, she served faithfully at Antioch Baptist Church in Coleman, Georgia, for about 70 years.
She had a love for cooking, family, and making jokes.
She received her education at Green Chapel School in Clay County.
On April 11,1954 she married the love of her life and they were married for 60 years until he passed away.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband (Buster); brothers, Albert, Tom, Will, Provis, and Tab; sister, Eloise; and two children, George and Diane Jackson.
Precious memories of Sallie will remain with her five children, Andrew Jackson, Lynn George Jackson, Kelton Jackson, James Donnie Jackson, Alica (Lonnie) Stevens; granddaughter, Alexis Dotson, who was her caregiver until death; a special nurse, Ms. Valerie Pickett; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grands; 5 great great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Clara Jackson, Katie Wade, and Arlena Jackson; one brother-in-law, Henry “Mack” Jackson; one daughter-in-law, Peggy Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
