Robert Fuller Obituary

Robert Earl Fuller (Rob) was the last child born to the late, William Sr. and Susie Mae Fuller on September 13, 1950, in Fort Gaines, GA. He was the youngest of six children. He departed this life on Thursday, February 8, 2024.

Robert lived in Fort Gaines, GA and attended public schools, where he graduated from Speight High School in 1970.

Shortly after graduation Robert was employed at the Clay Medical Center and the local Hardware Store in Fort Gaines, GA.

In the mid- 1970’s Robert moved to New Jersey to explore new opportunities and a different environment. While in New Jersey, Robert worked at Cooper Paint Company.  Robert decided that city life was not for him so he returned home to Fort Gaines, GA, where he worked as an Maintenance Technician in Fort Gaines and the surrounding towns.

Robert joined Springfield Missionary Baptist Church. He was a faithful member.  He sang in the choir, and you could find him often working around the church.

Robert loved all sports, especially watching tennis, but his first love was fishing. The fish he caught he would share with family and friends. He loved to cook and enjoyed music. His favorite recording artists were Curtis Mayfield and the Temptations. He had an enthusiastic sense of humor and an infectious laugh.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers William Jr, (Carolyn) and John Paul (Pauline); sister Carolyn Waston (Frank); and  brother-in-law Willie Wade.

He leaves to cherish his legacy one sister Nella Mae Wade and brother David (Deacon Hazel) of New Jersey;  and a host of

aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and church family.
