Richard was born on, August 3, 1954, to the late Lonnie Jackson, Sr. and the late Essie Mae Paul Jackson.
He passed away from this life to enter eternal life with his Lord and Savior, on September 13, 2024.
Richard was employed with Lilliston Agriculture Equipment Company in Albany, GA, The Tift Zoo in Albany, GA, Chehaw Park in Albany, GA, and later went to work for “Mr. Alvin”, as he affectionately called Alvin Sudderth.
Richard loved to talk about the animals he worked with at the zoo.
He loved all animals.
He would always have at least 1 dog following him around Leary, and several other dogs became to be a part of Richard’s pack.
After moving to Donna Wilkinson’s, he befriended foxes and even a white oak snake.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lonnie Jackson, Jr. and Eddie Jackson; two sisters, Wilma Jackson and Dora Jackson Raybon; and one daughter, Latasha Jackson Walker.
Richard leaves to cherish his precious memories one daughter, Latisha P. King; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a niece, Teresa R. Anthony, who stuck by him until the end; and many nieces and nephews.
