Our beloved sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Sister Pamela S. Griffin was called home on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. Pamela was born on July 5, 1956 to the late Isaac W. James, Sr. and Maude Jean Shaw James.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Gaines, GA. Pamela later joined Emanuel A.M.E. Church, now Emanuel Methodist Church. She was dedicated to the Lord and her church. She loved attending bible study, using her gifts and talents in the church, shopping and decorating her home.
She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Iverson “Ike” Griffin in 1984. She received her education in the Clay County School System and continued her education after high school by earning an Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis and Jackie.
She leaves to cherish her memories three sisters, Maude Shaw, Catherine (Johnnie) Bethel and Helen Isom; two brothers, Issac (Bettye) James and Noble (Sheila) James; a very special nephew who was like a son, Isaac James; five more nephews, Kenneth Shaw, Alfred Isaac, Franco James, Yatta James, and Kenneth James; four nieces, Shonda, Cassandra, Chasharia, and Tamara and a host of other relatives and friends.
