Ozzie Louise Hicks was born on September 21, 1941 to the parentage of the late Orrie Howard Hicks and Mary Louise Griffin Hicks. She peacefully died at the home of her grandson, Christopher, on Friday, December 11, 2020.
She attended and graduated from high school in Philadelphia while living with her Aunt Gussie. Upon moving back to Georgetown, Louise joined St. Stephen A.M.E. Church in Georgetown, GA.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Lawrence Curtis Jackson, Sr. To this union four children were born.
Louise enjoyed sewing, arts & crafts, listening to music and traveling to spend time with her siblings, cousins and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Joseph, James and Waymon and two grandchildren, Cameron and Taleshia.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Charlayne Huger, Lawrence Jr., John and Robert Jackson; 19 grandchildren, Christopher Huger, Curtis Wallace, Christina Huger, Kyle Precia, Alphonso Jackson, LaQuiesha Massey, Jermaine Jackson, Derek Wallace, Brittany Brown, Cornell Garrett, Lauren Jackson, Jakarra Jackson, Daniel Hall, Zaykeese Jackson, Elijah Henderson, Xyleah Jones, Zyniah Jones, Layla Jackson, and Landon Jackson; 30 great grandchildren; three siblings, Leadus Henry, Orrie Howard Jr. and Matthew; six sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn, Sandra, Brenda, Marie, Patricia and Erma; two brothers-in-law, Leon and M.L.; a special cousin, Clara Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sympathizing friends.
