Sis. Mozell Brown was born of September 17, 1941, to the parentage of the late Brownie Mathis Brown and Fred Brown, Sr.
On Monday, January 29, 2024 Mozell made a peaceful transition at her home in Fort Gaines, GA.
At an early age she confessed in Christ and became a member of Mt. Zion A.M.E Church, which later became Mt. Zion Missionary Church. She sang in the choir and served faithfully until her health declined.
She graduated from Speight High School in 1959.
She was employed with Champions in Abbeville, AL and Anderson Construction, where she retired in 2008.
She loved singing, going to different churches, helping others, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her four sisters, Ada Maude Ellis, Leola Little, Freddie Mae Brown, and Jennie McCoy; three brothers, King Solomon Brown, Fred Brown, Jr., and Sam Brown; and one great grandson, Xander Brown.
Those left to cherish her sweet memories are her three children, Patricia Morris (Johnny B) of Jacksonville, FL, Bevelyn Laseter (James) of Fort Gaines, GA, and Willie D. Brown of Summerville, SC; two sisters, Carrie Bell Brown of Fort Gaines, Ga and Willa Mae Fleshman of Stewenbille, OH; 8 grandchildren, Tameka Howey, Larry A. Smith, Jocelin Peterson, Willie D. Brown, Jr., Rashad Brown, Jasmine Jordan, Antawn Morris, and Tia Brown; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
