On August 11, 2025, a chapter was completed and a page turned, for a life well lived.
Maurice's journey of life commenced on September 22, 1983, as the son of the late Phyllis Carol Hall and Herman Lowe, at Agana Heights Naval Airbase in Guam.
During this life, he attended Yokota High School in Tokyo, Japan and Abbeville High School in Abbeville, AL.
He became a member of St. Peter Baptist Church.
Motown, known to the Girard community and to all that knew him, had an uplifting and vibrant demeanor with a radiant smile and a fun yet quick-witted personality that could make you laugh and wonder if he was secretly a stand-up comedian. He was incredibly gifted, had an unrelenting passion for creating music and thrived on rapping, playing basketball, and was deeply passionate about watching/debating ALL SPORTS!
In addition to his mother, Phyllis, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sally M. Thomas, George A. Thomas; and a host of aunts and uncles.
Fond memories to be cherished by his son, Kyson Elijah Spann of Macon, GA; daughter, Audrey Spann of Warner Robbins, GA; father, Herman Lowe of Clayton, AL; siblings, Terren Spann of Abbeville, AL, Celeste Hunter of Eufaula, AL, Talisha Hamilton of Phenix City, AL, Terrell Boykins of Montgomery, AL, and Dwayne McLoyd of Ashford, AL; aunts, Angelia Tate and Mary Ann Hall of Abbeville, AL and Gwen Thornton of Detroit, MI; uncles, Joe Owens of Abbeville, AL, Ervin (Karen) of Denver, CO, Marc A. Helms of Newark, NJ, and Edward Grimes of Nashville, TN, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
