A Time to Be Born……Mary Lee Norris Jackson was born on January 14, 1945 in Georgetown, GA, Quitman County, to the parentage of Joseph Norris Sr., and Gussie Mae (McBride) Norris.
A Time to Know God……At an early age she accepted Christ and joined First Missionary Baptist Church, Georgetown, GA.
A Time to Love…..She was the 2nd child of Joseph Norris Sr and Gussie Mae Norris. She raised her children and, grandchildren, and passed onto them the values that was taught to her by her parents and siblings.
A Time to Grow…..She received her early education at Kaigler Training School and graduated from Georgetown High School, Georgetown, GA. She was employed for many years with Aladan in Eufaula, AL.
A Time to Remember……Mary Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Norris Sr and Gussie Mae McBride Norris; brothers, Ulysess C. Norris and Marion Norris; and sister, Emma Jean Galloway.
A Time to Live Life….She was always the life of the party with her nieces and nephews.
A Time to Die…..Mary, departed this earthly life at her home on Tuesday, July 19,2023 surrounded by her loved ones.
A Time to Mourn….Those left to cherish her memories includes her loving children, Brenda Norris, Sheryl (Willie) Flintroy Sr, Elijah Jackson and Steven (Tera) Jackson; grandchildren, Felicia Norris Shemicka (Jonathan) Ivory, Demetria (Tirrell) Deloney, Travis Norris, Corddale Jackson, Willie Flintroy Jr, Quramane Flintroy, Devon Nunnally, Annie Justice, Steven Justice, and Abigail (Elin) Pearson ;15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph (Cynthia) Norris Jr, and Uyness (Irene) Norris; two sisters, Bernice (Albert) Williams Sr, Annie J Young, special friend, Mary Clark, and a host of nieces, nephews; and other sorrowing relatives and friends.
