A Time To Be Born

On May 25, 1965 in Georgetown, GA our Heavenly Father blessed Eleanor Griggs with a beautiful baby girl, whom she named Mary Louise Griggs.

A Time To Live

Mary was educated in the Quitman County School System and graduated from Stewart-Quitman High School.  She later moved to Apopka, FL where she continued her education and became a teacher for the local Headstart and Pre-K Programs.

A Time of Peace

Mary answered her final calling from our Lord and Savior on May 24, 2022 at Medical Center Barbour in Eufaula, AL.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Marion Griggs, five uncles and one aunt.

She leaves to cherish her memories a loving mother, Eleanor Griggs of Eufaula, AL; a loving and devoted son Edaniel (Tanika) Bowers of Eufaula, AL; two grandchildren, Kelsie and Elijah Bowers, both of Eufaula, AL; a loving grandmother, Pecola Griggs, affectionately known as “Granny”; four uncles, Nathan (Cynthia) Griggs of Ft. Gaines, GA, Willie and Darriel (Virginia) Griggs, both of Georgetown, GA and Marvin Griggs of Apopka, FL; two aunts, Paula Sutton and Lillian (JD) Alexander, both of Georgetown, GA; a special friend, Arthur “Jock” Jones; and a host of  other sorrowful relatives and friends
