Lourine (Doughty) Hodge

Lourine was born on January 8, 1944 to the parentage of the late Corine Dense Doughty and Arthur Doughty, Sr.  She was the youngest of nine children. (Annie George Doughty,       Carolyn Doughty,  Arthur Doughty, Lawrence Doughty,  Robert Doughty, Charles Doughty, Lillie Doughty Jones and Leroy Doughty).

Lourine received her Bachelor's Degree from Fort Valley State University and  became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha   Sorority, Inc. during her matriculation there.  After college she taught high school in Pittsview, AL.  She  later moved to Long Beach, CA and embarked upon many career journeys including continuing her service as an educator, working in the real estate industry, serving as an administrator for senior services and ultimately as a community volunteer.

She was well loved by her many friends and was known for her independence and free spirit.  

In January 2022, Lourine  moved back to Georgia to spend time with her sister.  They spent time catching up on fond memories and the blessing of each other's company. 

She leaves behind her sister, Lillie M Jones of Atlanta, GA, and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
