OBITUARY
A Time to be Born:
On May 10, 1937 God blessed the family of the late George and Clara James Green with a baby they named Lottie George Green.
A Time to grow up:
Lottie George received her education at Mitchell Grove and Chattahoochee schools. She was a housewife and worked as a CNA at the Clay County Nursing Home until her retirement.
A Time to Serve:
Lottie George accepted Christ at an early age. After years of service at New Beginnings Ministries was ordained, Mother of the Church under the leadership of Apostle Robert Gilbert. She was a faithful servant and loved to help everyone. She would visit and pray for the sick.
A Time to Love:
She was a friend to many and loved her family dearly. Everyone had a different need and she would gladly try to help them. She loved going to church, singing and praying. Her favorite saying was “Stay on the Boat.” She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Foy; a son, Walter Foy and two daughters, Hazel Belcher and Gloria Daniels.
A Time for Departure:
God called Lottie George home on July 10, 2021 from her home at 129 Bradley St. here in Ft. Gaines, GA. She fought a good fight and kept the faith.
A Time to be Missed:
She will be missed by her five children, Eddy (Bobby) Foy, Shelia Taylor, Cherry (Marvin) Smith, Doretha (Larry) Smith and Ethel (Oscar) Hudson; 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; a brother, Walter Green of Newark, NJ and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
