Lillie Maude (McCray) Preston

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called Mrs. Lillie Maude Preston from this life on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Lifebrite Community Hospital  of Early in Blakely, Georgia.

Lillie Preston was born in Clay County, GA on July 3, 1931.  She was the daughter of the late Mrs. Cecilia and Mr. Adam McCray.

She attended school at St. Luke School in Clay County, GA and was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Essie Davis and to this union 11 children were born.  She was also united in Holy Matrimony to late William Preston and to this union 1 child was born.

She was also preceded in death by 2 daughters, Essie Robinson and Annie Spann; 2 sons, Essie and Eddie Davis and 2 brothers, Adam and Peter McCray.

Those left to cherish her loving memories are  4 daughters, Sallie (Robert) Davis and Ida Nell Davis both of Coleman, GA, Julie George of Arlington, GA and Debra (Charles) Davis of Edison, GA; 4 sons, Herbert (Shirley) Davis, James (Nita) Davis, Phil (Mariam) Davis and William (Macy) Preston, Jr., all of Coleman, GA; 38 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; 5 sisters, Eva Stringer, Sarah McCray, Maggie (Willie Ed) Davis all of Ft. Gaines, GA and Betty McCray and Ida (Roosevelt) Young of Albany, GA and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
