Jessie A Jenkins

Mrs. Jessie A. Jenkins was born to the late Earnest and Savannah Allen, on April 9, 1927, in Randolph County, GA.  She departed this life on, Wednesday July 24, 2024.

She was united in holy matrimony to John Jenkins in 1949, and to this union four children were born, and she also had a bonus son, Tommy Jenkins.

Mrs. Jessie A. Jenkins graduated from Randolph Clay High School.

Jessie was a life-long member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Georgetown, GA. Her duties at Mt. Zion were President of the Usher Board, Missionary President, Award Leader, Sr. Sunday School and Choir Teacher.

Jessie was also an Eastern Star of Prince Hall Chapter 481 in Georgetown GA. 

Jessie was a house wife for several years until her husband John Jenkins departed from this earth. She then went to work as a nanny and later on began working as a Home Health Care Aid until her retirement. Her dedication and kindness significantly impacted many lives, earning her respect and admiration.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Jenkins;  son, Tommy Jenkins; daughter, Geneva M. Dumas; sisters, Annie Julia Butts, Emma Blackwell, Ethel Lewis, and Mollie L. Thompson; and brothers, Oscar, Isaac, Earnest Allen.

Jessie leaves to cherish her precious memories, three sons, George, Bob, and Donnell Jenkins; 7 grandchildren, Anitra, La’tasha, Jason, BJ, Keith, Michaela, and Shantell; 6 great grandchildren,  Danielle,     Derrick, Devin, DanayJa’, Keyon and Journey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mrs. Jessie A. Jenkins will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of
knowing her.
