Mr. James Earl Spann was born on July 22, 1961 to the late Morris C. and Lillie Mae Spann in Fort Gaines, GA. He was called home to be with the Lord on October 16, 2023.
He was educated in the Clay County School System.
After being Honorably Discharged from the United States Army, he became a trucker driver. He drove trucks for over 30 years, and was awarded for driving “Two Million Safety Miles.” After retiring as a truck driver, he joined the Clay County Elementary School Staff.
He was very loving and caring to his family and the community.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Morris Spann, Gene Spann, and Kevin Spann.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories four children, Morris Jackson and Ryan Spann of Fort Gaines, GA, and Alexandra Smith and James Earl Spann, Jr. of Covington, GA; four sisters, Glinnette Allen, Gennette Spann, Karen Spann (Willie), and Lillie Ruth Ricks (Willie) all of Fort Gaines, GA; one brother, Homer Spann (Dianne) of Fort Gaines, GA; 18 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sympathizing friends.
