James Edward Ellington was born February 26, 1948 to the late I.L. Ellington and Archebell Willis.
On Friday, October 27, 2023, James transition to his eternal home to be with the Lord. James accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Zion Quitman County.
He served in the United State Army and the National Guard for many years. After returning from the army James decided to finish his education. He was a graduate of Quitman County High School, class of 1977.
James hobbies were fishing and hunting. He also loved his family and being with cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, a son, Marcus L. Ellington, and sister, Janice Willis preceded him in death
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Sister Elnora Ellington of Randolph County; one son, Walter Hillmon, a granddaughter, Ava Ivory; four siblings, Nina Perry, Marsha Ellington, and Mary Ellington of Miami, FL and Rose Allen of Nashville, TN; four sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Turner, Shirley Thompson, Willie Ree Smith, and Joyleen Bussey; special cousins/friends, Robert Scott and David Johnson; a faithful and devoted friend Willie Bussey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sympathizing friends
