Deacon J.D. Alexander was born on July 25, 1940 in Fort Gaines, GA to the late Mr. Judge and Mrs. Annie Maude Alexander. To this union five children were born.
He received his education from Kailger Training School, in Georgetown, GA. He later relocated to New Jersey, where he was re-acquainted with Beatrice Christian, and later married. He worked as a Department Supervisor for Arts Metal USA, in Newark, NJ until his retirement in 2002.
He then relocated back to Georgia in 2004, and became an active and faithful member and Deacon of Trinity Chapel Church until his illness.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Deloris Dunham and one brother, Mr. Willie Alexander.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his beloved wife of 59 years, Mrs. Lillian B. Alexander of Georgetown, Georgia; one son, Mr. Gary (Crystal) Alexander of Newark, NJ; one daughter, Ms. Adriane Alexander of Georgetown, Georgia; his beloved mother-in-law, Mrs. Pecola Griggs; one sister, Mrs. Lola Brown of Columbus, OH; one brother, Mr. Charlie (Cynthia) Alexander of Hillside, NJ; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Rosyln Alexander of Plainfield, NJ; eight grandchildren, Kecia, Sharkerah, Alicia, Olivia, Diane, Sameriah, Gary Jr., and Arianna; eight great grandchildren, Zamyiah, Tiana, Zaniyah, Leon Jr., Liam, Mason, Karim Jr., and Malachi; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
