Fredrick Gibson Obituary

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1

God called our beloved Fredrick (Fred) Gibson home on Saturday, October 31, 2020.  He was so special to his family that spoiled him.  He will truly be missed.

Fred was born to Joyce Gibson Harris and the late Ulysses Mitchell on January 6, 1972 in Fort Gaines, GA.  He was raised in a Christian home, and at an early age was baptized and became a member of the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church.  As a member, he served as a Jr. Usher and in the Jr. Choir until he left for college and adulthood.

Fred was a proud graduate of Randolph Clay High School, Class of 1990. He went on to attend Florida A&M University (FAMU) and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgia Southwestern University.  After college, he moved to Atlanta and worked as a Salesperson for Ricoh and Konica.

Fred met his life partner, Tiffany Davis, in 2002 in Atlanta and moved to Landover, Maryland in 2010.  They were joined in Holy Matrimony on November 25, 2014.  He was employed at Ameritel Corporation for 10 years.

Loving memories will forever be cherished by his wife, Tiffany Davis Gibson of Landover, MD; his beloved and dedicated mother, Joyce (Willie) Harris of Bluffton, GA; a son who he loved as his own, Dylan De La Cruz; 4 sisters, Kim (Sam) Johnson of Fort Gaines, GA, Shonta Mitchell of Blakely, GA, Monica (Johnny) Jones of Bluffton, GA and Lafarrish Mitchell of Columbus, GA; 8 aunts, Audrey Powell, Brenda Mitchell, Janice Gibson, Wylene Rowe, Betty (Robert) Carter, Pamela Gibson, Minnie Johns and Dorothy Mitchell; 4 uncles,  Michael Walker, Houston Mitchell, James Mitchell and Floyd Mitchell; God-son, Dallas Sands; Special friends and God brothers, Tyrone Gainer and Jimmy Powell, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, beloved friends and classmates.
