Eddie James Johnson was born to the late Tom and Mary Helen Johnson Williams, on November 29, 1956.
At an early age, he confessed Christ and became a member of Popular Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
He received his education in the Henry County School System.
Eddie James volunteered with the Shorterville Volunteer Fire Department for over 37 years, serving as Assistant Fire Chief for 3 years.
He worked in the logging industry and was employed by Charles Money Logging and Abbeville Milling.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a son, Antonio (Angela) Johnson; two grandchildren, Joshua Johnson and Nehemiah Paige; his loving long-time companion of 38 years, Minnie Walker; one sister, Mable (Gerald) Thompson; two brothers, Willie James (Marjorie) Williams and Walter C. (Nicole) Williams; three aunts, Catherine Patterson, Annie C. Johnson, and Lorine (John) Richards; and several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
