Deacon Earnest White was born on, October 7, 1969, the late Mr. Ander Jr. White and Ms. Annie Vera Sipp. He departed this earthly life on November 23, 2024, after a tragic motor vehicle accident on the evening of November 20, 2024.
Earnest accepted Christ as his personal Savior, while serving as a young child at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He moved on from Piney Grove, and as an adult, he served as the Chairman of the Deacon Board at Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. Lane.
His latest spiritual assignment on earth was serving on the Deacon Board at Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church in Gordon, AL. Earnest was a dynamic devotion leader and powerful prayer warrior. One of his favorite scriptures was: “Judge Not, that ye be not judged.” Matthew 7:1
He attended Abbeville High School and was a proud Yellow Jacket. He went on to earn a trade of welding through Job Corporation of America. He also earned the title of being one the biggest college football fans for Alabama football.
Earnest was employed with Wiregrass Construction. He was a faithful, hardworking employee and worked there until his death. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge Lawrenceville 563.
He loved his family dearly, both biological and unrelated by blood.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, uncles, and aunts, Ander Jr. White, Annie Vera Sipp, JB (Daddy Bo) Sipp, Richard Sipp, Willie B. Cummings, and Bobby Sipp.
Earnest leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Jessica Melton of Gordon, AL; son, Terrance Gary of Eufaula, Al; two daughters, Marqwesha McNeely of Quincy, FL and Laniah Peterson; two brothers, Mark Williams of Titusville, FL and Willie Earl Williams of Dothan, AL; three sisters, Gloria Williams, of Dothan, AL, Sylvia (Carlos) Horsley, and Cynthia (Avery) Brown; aunts, Dorothy Lee of Tampa, FL, and Laura Danzey of Tampa, FL; uncle, JB Sipp, Jr. of Dothan, AL; special aunt and uncle, Willie Mae (David) Parker of Tallahassee, FL; nieces and nephews, Nadia Horsley of Albany, GA, Trinity Horsley of Albany, GA, Khyleigh Horsley of Albany, GA, Zaylin Brown of Abbeville, AL, JaJuan Brown of Abbeville, AL, Aaliyah Williams of Columbia, AL, JaDashia Melton and JaDevion Melton; additional family members who loved him dearly, Teresa Melton (called Ms. Tee by Earnest), Frances Williams (called Aunt Sister), Andrew Williams (called Rev), Charles & Shawna Peterson (called Chucky Ducky and Secretary), Tirrell & Shytanya Melton, Latricka & Maurice Pittman, Jerome & Amanda Vereen, Jermaine & and Franchesca Johnson; special friends, Charles Marsh of Abbeville, AL, Johnny (Big John) Faison of Tampa, FL, Anthony (Peanut) Adams of Dothan, AL, and Freddie Lynn of Tallahassee, FL; and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and many other family members, and friends.
Earnest had a bright, kind spirit who brought joy to all who had the pleasure of meeting him. His influence and presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Through the wonderful memories he shared throughout his amazing life, his spirit and love will love on.
