Dorothy Mae Lynn-Norris was born on June 28, 1953 to the parentage of the late Albert Lynn, Sr. and Isabell Carter Lynn.
She confessed in Christ at an early age and joined the First Missionary Baptist Church in Georgetown, GA. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend.
With a heart of gold, she had no enemies, only friends.
She received her education at the Kaigler Training School in Georgetown, GA.
Dorothy was united in holy matrimony to Bobby Norris on July 1, 1967.
She was a devoted member of the Women’s Missionary Society and enjoyed participating in activities at the Community Center.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Norris, Sr., all 14 of her siblings, and her daughter, Debra Lynn.
She leaves to cherish her memories three children, Linda Norris, Lasonya (Willie) Turner, and Bobby (LaTonya) Norris, Jr.; 7 grandchildren, Princess Norris, Kyshawn (Destin) Borwn-Scott, Termarkies Norris, Kejuan Brown, Jakevious Norris, Jemaury Turner and Jaquavious Norris; one great grandchild, Royalty Anglin; a mother-in-law, Ola Mae Norris; 8 sisters-in-law; Eartha Robinson, Viola (Willie) Franklin, Beverly Norris, Margaret (Walter) McFolley, Wiladean Clayton, Mary Dennis, Betty Davis and Annie Mims; a brother-in-law, Robert C. Norris, Jr.; a very special friend, Lyn Tyler; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
