Eddie “Doris” Small , 79, was born in Shorterville, AL to the late James W. Davis, Sr. and Eddie Mae Glover, in Shorterville, AL. Later in life, she relocated to Fort Gaines, GA.
She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church.
She attended the Clay County School System and graduated from Asbury Speight High School.
By trade, Doris was a licensed Cosmetologist, and was the proud owner of her own shop, “Lady D’s.”
She loved her family and friends ,and would do anything to take care of those in need.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Small; four sisters, Brenda Glover, Betty Thornton, Idale Bynum, and Cecilia Davis; and four brothers, Ralph Glover, Tony Davis, Tyrone Davis, and Howard Davis.
She continues to live through her only child, Tracey W. Davis, Sr. (Paula) of Syracuse, NY; one sister, Pearl Dillard ( Matthew) of Jupiter, FL; one brother, James Davis of Syracuse, NY; grandsons, Travis Davis and Trenton Davis of Columbus, GA, Tracey W. Davis, Jr. and Dorien W. Garrett of Syracuse, NY, and Brandon Jones; granddaughters, Crystal Harrison of Columbia, SC, Catalia Hyacinthe of Fort Gaines, and Justine Jones of Syracuse, NY ; special nieces, Chrisheya Pope, Wylita Peterson, Telathia Jackson; and VaRhoda Davis; a special companion, David James Petway; and a host of caring nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and sympathizing friends.
