Brother Charles Wesley was born April 17, 1938 in Midway, AL to the parentage of the late Sallie Bennett and John Wesley.
At an early age he confessed his faith in Christ and became a member of the body of Christ. He was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Willie Bell Brown Wesley and to this union eight children were born of which 3 preceded him in death, Charlie, Bobby and Kenneth Wesley. He was also the last living survivor of his siblings.
Brother Charles was formerly employed with the City of Ft. Gaines for many years and would retire after his health became impaired.
He was a very kind, loving, strong, compassionate and determined person. Even after having an amputation he could be seen walking around the block every morning in the city neighborhood.
Those left to cherish his loving memories are his children, Marion, LaShona, Gwen, William and Chris (Nanita) Wesley all of Ft. Gaines, GA; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 5 great, great grandsons; 2 sisters-in-law, Rosie (Eddie) Harvey of Albany, GA and Rochelle Wesley of Cocoa, FL; 2 brothers-in-law, Bobby Brown of Valdosta, GA and Robert Brown of St. Petersburg, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends.
