Carl James McCoy was born on December 31, 1954 to the parentage of the late Jennie Brown McCoy and Benjamin McCoy.
At an early age he confessed in Christ and became a member of the Mt. Zion AME Church, where he served as a class leader.
He was reared by his late maternal grandmother, Brownie Brown. He graduated from Speight High School in 1973. He worked at the Peanut Mill in Ft. Gaines for many years after high school. He was a laborer (yard man) for many businesses in town until his health became impaired.
He loved dancing, singing, drinking, and spending time with family and friends.
On Saturday, December 25, 2021 Carl made a peaceful transition at his home in Ft. Gaines, Georgia.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Deborah McCoy.
Those left to cherish his loving memories are a sister, Belinda McCoy of Cleveland, OH; three aunts, Mozell Brown and Carrie Brown of Ft. Gaines, GA and Willa Mae Fleshman of Steubenville, OH and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
