Barbara Ann Jackson was born January 15, 1961, to the parents of Roberta Jackson and J.B Ingram. She was born in Fort Gaines, Georgia. At an early age, she joined Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Clay County. She served in the capacities of choir member, Sunday School Secretary, and many other roles. She was educated in the Clay County School System and graduated in 1979. Later she received her Bachelor & Masters Degree from Grand Canyon University in Healthcare Administration. Later she joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she was a faithful member and served until death. Barbara enjoyed cooking, decorating and working in her yard. She was very studious in her bible. Her smile was beautiful, infectious and could light up any room; it will be missed. On December 3, 2021, she was called from labor to rest at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. Her father J.B. Ingram and brother Billy Blackmon proceeded with her in death. Barbara leaves behind a loving, devoted mother, Roberta Jackson. She leaves the joy of her heart four children; Allen Jackson (Jakea) Dothan, AL; Alton Jackson, Cleveland, OH; Tiara Jackson and Shayla Jackson, both of Albany, GA. She also leaves behind two grandchildren; Dontayvious Irvin and Destiny Jackson, who refers to her as “Granny”. Barbara also leaves behind 7 siblings; Gloria (John) Hodge, Albany, GA; Willie George Thomas “Manboy”, Miami, FL; Jennie (Chauncer) Williamson, Houston, TX; Don Jackson, Edison, GA; Darren (Melissa) Jackson, Salinas, CA; Linda Faye Jackson “Love”, Albany, GA; and Gerald Wilburn, Edison, GA. One uncle; Henry Mack (Eloise), Newark, NJ; four Aunts; Katie Wade, Edison, GA; Clara M. Jackson, Miami, FL; Sallie B. Jackson, Edison, GA, and Allena Jackson, Bronx, NY; A sister — in – law Debra Blackmon. Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
