Annie Jennie Howard was born on July 23, 1943 in Clay County, Georgia to the of Annie Pearl Jackson. After the passing of her mother at the age of seven, she was adopted and raised by her oldest sister, Freddie Dell and Walter Patmon.
Annie departed this life at her home on June 23, 2021 with her grandson and daughter-in-law by her side. She was educated in the Clay County School system and graduated from Speight High School. Upon graduation she moved to Yonkers, NY and found work in Domestic Occupations. While there she joined Messiah Baptist Church and served as a faithful member of the choir. Later she relocated to Dothan, AL working as a caregiver, nanny, cook, and foster parent. Her final move in life would be back to her hometown of Fort Gaines. She rejoined Kennon Grove Baptist Church, serving faithfully as an Usher, President of the Missionary Department and in other auxillaries until her health declined. Her hobbies included fishing, quilting, crocheting and baking. Simply by saying "OK" and "I'm here," she was always willing to help with family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Eric Lee and Denell (Nakeisha) Howard; four sisters, Margaret Washington, Irene and Gloria Patmon, Sandra (Joseph) Danzey; two brothers, Jimmy (Annette) and Ira Patmon; twelve grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
