Alfred Jerome Allan was born October 18, 1961 in Fort Gaines, Georgia to the parentage of the late Jimmy Lewis Allen and Johnnie Bell Burnett.
At an early age he became a member of Midway Baptist Church. He also served as a usher at Brown Chapel AME Church until his health began to decline.
He attended Clay County Elementary and High School.
Alfred lived in Atlanta, Georgia. While living there, he worked at DeKalb Medical Center. He moved back to Fort Gaines where he began to work for the Clay County Board of Education while also working at Rubo’s.
He was a loving, kind-hearted and caring person who loved his family. He didn’t have any biological children of his own, but he had nieces and nephews who he thought of and treated as his own.
He transitioned peacefully on August 6, 2022, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Al.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, three uncles and a aunt. Alfred leaves to cherish his memories two brothers: Jhonny (Jeanette) Lane of Dawson, Ga. and Jimmy Allen Jr. of Alanta Ga,; two sister: Susanne (Tine) Johnson of Atlanta Ga., Angela (Derek) Davis of Fort Gaines: three aunts: Betty Smith of Atlanta Ga, Nettie Burnett (James Kelly) of Fort Gaines, Ga., Mollie (Lynn) Helms of New York; three nieces: Thredosia “Buffy” Allen and LaQuita Wilder of Atlanta Ga and Shauntavia “Mone” Davis of Fort Gaines, Ga.: two nephews, Quinton “Chuck” Davis and Marcus Allen of Fort Gaines: one honorary niece Andrea Ponder: three great nieces, two great nephew, one great -great nephew and great -great niece and a host of cousins, family and friends .
